CPS v. Russell Brand – Day 5 Trial Summary
Day 5 of CPS v. Russell Brand at Southwark Crown Court experienced technical difficulties with the live feed between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM BST, resulting in limited availability of certain testimonies. The proceedings featured a brief redirect examination of the Count 4 complainant regarding specific physical sensations, followed by the commencement of the direct examination of the Count 6 complainant via a pre-recorded video interview from May 2025. The Count 6 complainant detailed a 2009 series of events beginning with a fan encounter at the Apollo, subsequent consensual elements, and a later visit to Brand’s residence where she alleged non-consensual anal penetration, physical injury, and being told to clean the bed before being rushed out. Her direct examination is set to continue tomorrow 21st October 2026.
