FL vs. Daisy Link – Day 2 Trial Recap – Did Law Enforcement Tamper With Evidence?

9th October 2025

Background of the case: The case has drawn national attention not only for the homicide itself but also because Daisy Link became pregnant while in custody through an extraordinary scheme involving another inmate, despite never meeting him in person. Daisy Link’s case began as a tragic domestic dispute with her husband, Pedro Jimenez that ended in a fatal shooting. Both have them have supposedly had a toxic relationship with instances of domestic violence in their 9 years as a couple, sharing 2 kids.

Case Info

Courthouse: Miami Dade County, Miami, Florida.

Charges:

  • 2nd Degree Murder

Judge: Lody Jean
State Attorney(s): Alex Bergida & Jennifer Deleon
Defence Attorney(s): Antonio Tomas
Victim(s): Pedro Jimenez (Deceased) – 25th June 2022

During pre trial, Judge Jean had denied the stand your ground claim by Daisy Link!

On day 2, the state sought to clarify evidence presented regarding the blood trails establishing that the blood began from Daisy’s residence leading up to the alleyway. This gives the idea that considerable time had passed before the 911 call was place. But the defence sought to sew doubt by insinuating that law enforcement were likely responsible for the missing footage from Robert Sisneros surveillance system as there was no explanation how the footage went missing when it was in police custody if the expert, Sgt. Zeleika Fernandez did attempt to view the footage whilst it was in her custody. Full report below!
