On this true crime livestream, we discuss the Karen Read verdict after the jury acquitted her of murder charges. Karen Read was accused of killing her boyfriend John O Keefe in an alleged fit of rage where she was alleged to have driven her 6000lbs SUV into John O’Keefe. The first trial ended with a mistrial. With the public’s backing, Karen Read retained the services of famed trial lawyer from California, Alan Jackson; well respected Boston attorneys David Yanetti and Elizabeth Little; and a new addition to the team, the technical brains behind the operation Robert Alessi.
After three days of deliberation, the jury voted not guilty on the serious charges and guilty on the OUI, which sparked strong emotions and divided public opinion.
