MA v. Karen Read (2025) – Day 4 Trial Summary

Day 4 of the trial proceedings advanced the prosecution’s presentation of evidence by introducing expert clinical parameters and establishing critical relationship context. The court heard from a forensic pathologist who outlined the foundational boundaries of hospital testing environments. Additionally, a member of the Canton Fire Department provided oral evidence regarding a verbal dispute between the defendant and the victim prior to the incident, while cross-examination introduced alternative interpretations of the defendant’s acute mental health state during her subsequent psychiatric sectioning.
